Pinocchio in a creepy video game? The Lies of P, developed by Round8 Studio and published by Neowiz Games, pulls the strings in this curious Souls-like opus on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series from September 19, 2023. The release date was announced at Summer Game Fest on June 8.

You wake up in an abandoned train station in Krat, a city overwhelmed by madness and bloodlust. Before you lies a single note that reads. Find Mr. Geppetto. He's here in town. Play as Pinocchio, a puppet mechanoid, and fight everything in your path to find this mysterious person. But don't expect help along the way, and don't make the mistake of trusting anyone. You must always lie to others if you hope to become human.
Gameplay-wise, this is very much a Dark Souls or Bloodborne game, with its various weapons, its mechanical arm capable of firing electric discharges, and its bosses that look very complicated to take down. It's surprising, and the game succeeds in attracting customers with its various presentation videos.
Steampunk fans will be delighted with The Lies of P, as gamers are plunged into the heart of a gothic universe that's also very Victorian, with its buildings, chimneys and colorful characters. In short, it's a great promise that we can't wait to get our hands on. So get set!
