Become a racing driver, in the warmth of Paris... It's possible at Sim Drivers, the very first car simulation center in the heart of Paris, in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. The center opened its doors on January 12, 2023, to awaken the racing driver in you!
In a 170m2 space,Sim Drivers offers you 14 professional simulators mounted on jacks, for a 100% immersive real-life driving experience, as close as possible to the sensations of real racing drivers. These models are also used by professional racing drivers themselves, and can be connected to each other to organize local competitions between friends or colleagues.
To ensure immersion, electronic cylinders from Qubic System promise unrivalled reliability and precision. And when it comes to racing, the circuits integrated into the simulation software are laser-scanned, pinpointing every incline, climb, descent, bump and stone.
On the simulator side, 12 dynamic simulators on jacks offer the chance to drive in Formula 1, GT and hypercars.
A sensation simulator is available, with an even more powerful jacking system, particularly suited to rally and drift driving. An introductory simulator is also available for children 1.30 m tall and over. And not all simulators are created equally: the children's simulator, for example, has no jacks. On the other hand, they are all played on Assetto Corsa, one of the world's best-known racing softs.
How does the Sim Drivers simulator work? The team will explain it all to you at the center. You'll be able to choose your circuit category and your car, with customized driving aids if required. This is followed by an explanatory demonstration to show how the simulator works. Then it's up to you!
A simulator that the editors were able to try out! And we're not going to lie, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the experience, which was far superior to that offered by other brands. So we let ourselves be tempted by the Formula 1 simulator, in real-life conditions. Sitting on our seat, the position is identical to that of a real Formula 1 car.
In terms of experience, everything is well explained from the outset (even if there's a lot to remember), and the sensations are there, perfectly conveyed. The simulator is sensitive to the slightest movement of the steering wheel and to the terrain, promising ultra-faithful reproduction of gravel and uneven surfaces, for example. As far as screens are concerned, Assetto Corsa does the job, allowing you to try out all types of cars on all types of terrain.
