Ready to heat up the controller? Gamers from Paris and the Ile-de-France region will meet up at Houilles Gaming Day, a videogame experience to be held at theEspace Ostermeyer, in Houilles, Yvelines, on March 3, 2024. After conquering over 600 participants in its previous edition, this intergenerational event, orchestrated in collaboration with the Courbevoie Esport by Pandore association, promises to be even more fun and memorable.
This year, the festival is broadening its horizons with a new area dedicated to retrogaming, allowing nostalgic gamers to immerse themselves in the classics of the 80s and 90s. Houilles Gaming Day will also feature two major tournaments, EAFC24 and SSBU, with a total cash prize of 1,000 euros... Enough to fan the competitive flames! To take part in the tournaments, registration is required on the Courbevoie Esport website (registration until February 24). Visitors will also have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of gaming experiences, from free play on consoles such as the PS5 and Nintendo Switch on games such as Fortnite, Rocket League or Mario Kart 8, to direct confrontations with pros, not forgetting areas dedicated to dance, virtual reality and racing simulations.
Houilles Gaming Day isn't just about entertainment. The event bears witness to a deep commitment to accessibility, with the presence of CapGame, an association working to make gaming accessible to people with disabilities. In addition, the EPSI stand will offer an insight into the link between video games and education, with animations dedicated to coding.
