Reanimal: the game in "Little Nightmares" mode unveiled at Gamescom

At Gamescom 2024, Tarsier Studios unveiled Reanimal, a terrifying video game where hybrid monsters populate a dark, oppressive universe. Scheduled for release in 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, this title promises an immersive and memorable cooperative experience, in the tradition of Little Nightmares.

Gamescom 2024, Europe's video game mecca, took place from August 20 to 24. And among theOpening Night Live announcements, Reanimal, the new horrific title from the creators of Little Nightmares, electrified the scene and raised the hype among gamers. Scheduled for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series at an as yet undetermined date.

Reanimal plunges players into a dark and disturbing universe, where humanity's deepest fears come to life in the form of monstrous hybrid creatures. Here, animals are transformed into veritable nightmares: a spidery wolf that crawls towards the player, a bloodthirsty were-sheep, or a giant pig with a butcher's look. These monsters evolve in environments as chilling as they are varied, from foggy beaches to corpse-filled swamps, creating an oppressive atmosphere that's sure to leave a lasting impression. According to the developers at Tarsier Studios,"the camera will be shared by both players, so it will be totally identical, for the same visual and sensory experience".

The great novelty of this title lies in its cooperative dimension, offering players the chance to experience this horrific adventure as a duo, whether online or locally. Tarsier Studios emphasizes close collaboration between players, who must help each other overcome the many obstacles and traps along the way. The five playable characters seem to have stepped straight out of the most frightening horror films, each bringing their own unique touch to this unique adventure.
