Here we take a look at the secrets hidden in theworld of Silent Hill 2 Remake, along with their explanations.

WARNING SPOILERS!

- Echoes of the past: Throughout the experience, you may come across micro-flashbacks. As those who played the original game will have understood, these are references to the first version of Silent Hill 2, with the Remake's route and puzzles featuring some differences.

- As you explore the town of Silent Hill, you regularly come across bodies. If you look carefully, you may recognize the silhouette and clothing of James Sunderland. This could support the theory that the hero is in a time loop.

- From your first encounter with Eddie, you can see the mist that accompanies his breath, as if he were in a cold universe. The fight in the cold room gives us a glimpse of what the town of Silent Hill looks like to these eyes, with the different protagonists seeing things differently according to their own torments.

- When we meet up in the gazebo on the Toluca lakefront, where we first encounter Maria, she tries to distract us from what was really the special place Mary was referring to in her letter, by making sure James doesn't look in the direction of the Lakeside Hotel.

- As we progress through the game, the writing on Mary's letter disappears, becoming a blank sheet of paper towards the end. A detail also found in the original Silent Hill 2.

- The sound of Mary's last breath, as heard on the tape, can also be heard at various points in the game.

- In the Otherworldly version of Woodside Apartment 208, we notice that the cupboard in which James hid from Pyramid Head is cracked, probably as a result of the latter's sword stroke.

- Angela's apartment in the Other World version is strangely disproportionate, as if in reference to a child's view of his environment.

- The BlueCreek mannequins that can be seen behind the fence get closer as you progress through the clock puzzle.

- The last three monsters we encounter after viewing the tape are harmless, the Lying Figure remains motionless, the nurse faints and the dummy seems frightened of James.

- The end credits change according to the different endings
