Nintendo Direct: a round-up of announcements from the surprise conference

Surprise! Ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Direct on April 2, Nintendo announced a new Nintendo Direct, which took place on Thursday March 27 at 3pm, for a 30-minute presentation in a fairly classic format. The presentation focused on upcoming games for Nintendo Switch.

Nice announcements, but one big absentee that we've been waiting for: Professor Layton and the New Steam World. And a little disappointment too: no release date for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Dragon Quest I and 2 HD 2D Remake, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which have already been announced for some time and are scheduled for release this year. We'll have to wait for further information from Nintendo to find out more. In the meantime, grab your Joy-Con!
