90 years of Air France at Galeries Lafayette: fashion, heritage, mythical objects and couture shows!

Ready to fly away into the world of Air France? Galeries Lafayette invites the famous airline to celebrate its 90th anniversary, from September 28 to October 10, 2023. A unique, free exhibition featuring an exceptional heritage collection, new fashion creations and mythical objects, punctuated by retrospective fashion shows. Get ready for a journey of extraordinary elegance!

Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for takeoff... In October 2023, Air France will proudly celebrate 90 years of elegance, innovation and unforgettable travel! For the occasion, the emblematic airline is exhibiting at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann from September 28 to October 10, 2023.

Air France has always embodied French excellence. To illustrate this relentless quest for perfection and elegance, the company is presenting five iconic dresses designed by Xavier Ronze, head of costume workshops for theParis Opera ballet, highlighting Air France's fundamental themes: aviation and technology, fashion and uniforms, emblematic posters, gastronomy and tableware, design and architecture.

This exceptional couture collection is displayed in the department store's 12 showcases, alongside some of Air France's finest heritage pieces. It's an opportunity to enjoy a free, extraordinary fashion exhibition, retracing 90 years of legendary aircraft, designer uniforms, design and gastronomic delights on board.

On the shopping front, Air France and Galeries Lafayette are offering a range of mythical objects reissued or specially designed for the exhibition, from its famous travel bag to luggage kits and labels bearing the "90 years" signature, as well as model aircraft from yesterday and today. And, just to make you feel a little more high, the airline is offering for sale the original table service for La Première and Business from 1966 to 2000, painted by artist Jean Picart Le Doux, with all proceeds going to the Air France Foundation.

But that's not all! Visitors will also be able to watch veritable fashion shows highlighting thehistory of Air France fashion, from the very first vintage pilot uniforms to couture creations by illustrious names such as Christian Dior, Cristóbal Balenciaga and Christian Lacroix.
