The TikTok social network is set to shake up the fashion world with the launch of its first sewing and styling competition in France! In a very closed sector, this initiative offers a chance for behind-the-scenes designers and amateurs to get noticed, and could reveal the next great designer of the decade.
The competition, identifiable under the hashtag #TikTokFashionCompetition, invites all users to express their creativity over a fourteen-week period by designing and producing a fashion piece. Participants must reveal their creative process online, from initial inspiration to choice of materials, not omitting any challenges encountered along the way.
To participate, simply register on the platform by October 15, 2023, and then submit your creation between December 18, 2023 and January 12, 2024. A jury of professionals will pre-select the creations and award prizes ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 euros to the three winners, distinguishing "best execution", "best creativity" and the"Grand Prix".
