New notice of closure - It's with a heavy heart that beauty fans must come to terms with abandoning some of their favorite products ... The Body Shop, the clean and iconic cosmetics brand, is closing its doors in France, according to Grazia.fr. The announcement by the Paris Commercial Court, made on July 17, 2024, puts an end to a beauty saga that began in 1982 with the opening of the first boutique in the French capital.

Since its creation in 1976, the English brand has been a pioneer of natural and ethical beauty, combining products inspired by nature with social commitment. With cult products such as body butters, hand creams and lip balms, The Body Shop has become an icon of eco-responsible cosmetics. But the pandemic, economic upheaval and fierce competition have taken their toll on its French stores.

The brand recently relayed the sad news on social networks, thanking its French community for their loyalty. However, hope remains with a potential takeover in the UK, allowing French aficionados to continue using the products in spite of everything!
