Galeries Lafayette celebrates its 130th anniversary: anniversary table, creations & collectors' goodies

This autumn, Galeries Lafayette is making a splash! The legendary department store on boulevard Haussmann celebrates its 130th anniversary from September 6 to October 27, 2024, and spoiler alert: it promises to be ca-non!

The highlight of the event? The birthday table under the majestic Art Nouveau dome. From September 21 to October 1, 2024, five daily appointments for lunch, snack or dinner around this unusual installation, overlooking the store's beauty area. On the menu? Food and Moët & Chandon champagne pairings, spiced up by a breathtaking view! Unlike gastro addresses, this table is free of charge, subject to registration and a draw.

And because a birthday without a present isn't much of a party, big names in fashion such as Victoria Beckham, Isabel Marant, AMI Paris, Marine Serre (and many others!) have come up with exclusive pieces especially for Galeries Lafayette: t-shirts, hoodies, bobs, tote bags and even collectors' notebooks or lighters in the 130th anniversary colors. Made in France and eco-responsible must-haves, from €5 to €95, to be found in a dedicated pop-up on the 3rd floor. The icing on the cake: Lacoste and Polo Ralph Lauren are also joining the party with collector's polo shirts and sweatshirts!

And there's more to come! Galeries Lafayette is releasing an anniversary collection inspired by its mythical Coupole, in fashion (t-shirts, scarves, accessories ...) but also gourmet (chocolates, macaroons ...) and even a limited edition vinyl remix of 130 years of hits, from Michel Berger to Aya Nakamura.
