Organized by the Coup de soleil association, the Maghreb des livres returns to Paris' Hôtel de Ville on October 28 and 29, 2023, for its 29th edition. For two days, the capital will be hosting some one hundred authors, who will be showcasing Arabic literature and, above all, Tunisian literature. Thousands of books will be on sale in the large central bookshop run by l'Arbre à lettres, in the children's bookshop run by l'Attrape-cœurs and in the "Arabic language" bookshop of theArab World Institute.
The Maghreb des livres is an increasingly successful national cultural event, attracting thousands of curious visitors every year. Since 1994, the event has been bringing together novels, essays, coffee-table books and comics by authors living in France and the Maghreb countries. A genuine space for debate and collective reflection on the literature, history and current affairs of the Maghreb, the literary salon is open to all, and hosts round tables, tributes and cartes blanches.
On site, discover a space dedicated to magazines, visual artsexhibitions , andFarid Haoudy's Café Maure , a tasting area for Maghreb sweets, to nourish the stomach and the spirit.
