France didn't shine at the 2022 World Athletics Championships... For these European Championships, the athletes outdid themselves, collecting 13 medals before the final day!

The year 2024 is definitely synonymous with sport, with Roland-Garros, athletics, the Euro and the Olympic Games all taking place in just three months! Only Kevin Mayer was able to bring home a medal from the 2022 World Athletics Championships, and he has now qualified for Paris. But it was other Frenchmen who did the blue white and red flag proud this week, at the 2024 European Championships, taking place in Rome until this Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Going into the final day, France came second on the medal table, with 13 medals including four golds, three silvers and six bronzes! A rather reassuring record, just a few weeks away from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with some very fine performances and even qualifiers! Italy comes out on top with 20 medals, and Norway completes the podium, for the moment only.
