Have you always dreamt of becoming a mermaid? In Paris and Ile-de-France, diving schools provide lessons to learn how to swim with a monofin, a mermaid or a merman tail.

Becoming a mermaid is a very hot sport as a “The Little Mermaid” reboot will open very soon in movie theaters! There are two mermaid schools in Paris and Île-de-France, teaching you how to perfectly swim, catch your breath and move your tail with grace. Perfect to discover a new sport this Fall, one of the most original provided in the city! Over a couple of years, mermaid shows in aquariums are more and more common and amaze kids, but growing up, you can actually become a mermaid or a merman thanks to fitting classes.

Isanthea is a diving school providing a class to get introduced to and discover monofin freediving, in a more playful fashion. Discover techniques to swim with a fin and master the posture, undulating and makeup for a mermaid and how to pose for photo shoots. Classes are available from the age of 8, providing a theory part and a 2-hour practice part, and take place between Asnières and Villeneuve la Garenne depending on your level. But, you must know how to swim!

The Paradis Sirène school is the first France Federal Mermaid school. It teaches you how to easily mermaid swim, and created your own costume and show. A school trip is even provided at the end of the year in a submarine complex for mermaids only! Classes for kids are provided for children between 8 and 12, as well as teens and adults classes from 12 years of age. The school is set in the 77 department, in Bailly-Romainvilliers, accessible via RER A.

And to get a fin, you do not need to sell your voice away, there will be some available on site!
