After the success of the baseball exhibition match in September 2022, the Ranelagh Baseball Club is back in the spotlight! Long abandoned, the baseball club rose from the ashes in the spring of 2021 and landed in the Paris Championship for the year 2023, with four matches against clubs from the capital. Join us in the 16th arrondissement, at theHippodrome d'Auteuil, on the rugby pitch that hosts the Stade Français, to enjoy this typical American sport for free!
Very few people play this quintessential American sport in France, but in the spring of 2025, the Stade de France will host an official US pro season match with the Los Angeles Dodgers! The Ranelagh Baseball Club is back after almost a century of inactivity, when the Paris club was the first in the world to introduce baseball at the 1924 Olympic Games in the capital. In the 20th century, the Paris Baseball League regularly saw six teams compete in a championship between the Bois de Boulogne, Colombes and Bagatelle.
From April to June, the club will play several matches against the PUC, the Patriot's, ESC Paris15 and the Web's, with the aim of winning the championship and moving up to the regional level. For the Olympic Games, the club is planning a new baseball demonstration and would like to set up on the Bagatelle playground to create Europe's first eco-responsible baseball field, turning it into a French-style "Central Park"!
For the curious who want to discover this sport in a way other than on TV or in the movies, there will be entertainment and catering facilities on site, so you can enjoy the experience to the full!
