There's a love-hate relationship between Parisians and bicycles. Some use them every day to get around the capital in total freedom, while others hate cyclists on the road! This environmentally-friendly means of transport is being used more and more, and is set to boom even more during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, when it's going to become harder to use public transport! On Saturday, June 15, 2024, celebrate cyclists, right next to the Hôtel de Ville!
Les Arches Citoyennes hosts an event dedicated to cycling, free of charge and open to all. It's an opportunity to take part in activities, talk to professionals, get training or maintain your bike. Or even to buy one, for those who haven't yet taken the plunge! In this Parisian third-location, you'll find the first experimentation of the RATP Solutions Ville concept: the"Centrale des Mobilités", which brings together the bicycle ecosystem.
The six partners of this concept will be present all day long at various stands: bike repairs, advice on how to travel independently by bike, accompanied bike trials, getting children back in the saddle, electric bike rental, raising awareness of the use of bikes in the city, urban bike rides... As for the entertainment, you can watch BMX Flat demonstrations, take part in small concerts, take part in a helmet customization workshop, make bike smoothies, and enjoy a meal!
