Cirque du Soleil's Corteo show makes its grand return with six performances at the Accor Arena in Paris, from November 6 to 10, 2024. This series of shows coincides with Cirque du Soleil's 40th anniversary this year.

After the great success of Kurios Cabinet des curiosités, Cirque du Soleil returns to Paris with its show Corteo. FromNovember 6 to 10 , 2024, Cirque du Soleil presents 6 performances at theAccor Arena in Paris. Created in 2005 in Montreal, the show has already captured the hearts of nine million people in 113 cities and 19 countries around the world.

Corteo ( "procession" in Italian), features a multitude of artists for the duration of the show, and plunges you into the world of Clown Mauro. Imagining his own funeral in a paradoxically festive atmosphere, you'll follow the clown's ceremony with 51 artists from all over the world. With acrobaticperformances, singers and actors, you're in for a complete and enchanting show. Cirque du Soleil takes us back to childhood in the legendary Bercy concert hall.

You'll spend a good part of the show with your head held high, as the ceremony unfolds between heaven and earth, thanks to an impressive scenography. Cirque du soleil once again deconstructs the classical circus, breathing new life into it and blowing spectators away.

Cirque du Soleil, founded in 1984 by Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix in Montreal, is world-renowned for its contemporary circus shows. By combining artistic performance, breathtaking acrobatics and innovative staging, Cirque du Soleil has redefined the standards of traditional circus. Each show is a fusion of music, dance andvisual arts, captivating millions of spectators worldwide. Today, with a multitude of touring productions such as Corteo at the Accor Arena, Cirque du Soleil is a symbol of artistic excellence and creativity.

Our opinion

In an unrecognizable Bercy, bisected by a rectangular stage, Cirque du Soleil impresses from the moment you enter the auditorium, where a richly decorated purplish curtain, with superb chandeliers on the ceiling, takes pride of place. You'll soon notice spaces to the left and right of the stage, next to the orchestral spectators, where instruments are displayed: a violin, a drum kit, a microphone... soon joined by friendly clowns.

And when the curtain rises, the magic begins immediately. A far cry from the classic circus under a big top, Le Soleil breaks all codes, much to our delight. With live music and beautiful singing in Italian, we immerse ourselves in the story of Mauro, a clown who imagines his funeral, alongside his company and friends. Far from being sad, the show sparkles with enchantment, with angels descending from the sky, juggling, devilishly impressive acrobatics in the air on chandeliers or in a flying bed, and endearing characters.

Between the two-hour show, which passes at the speed of light, there's a 20-minute intermission to grab a bite to eat! While the whole show is dazzling, there are plenty of humorous touches to keep the audience amused, culminating in an interactive act involving a small company member attached to huge balloons, who has to be pushed off his feet by the audience to allow him to fly away again. Laughter breaks out amid a succession of poetic tableaux!

It's enough to make you feel like a child again for a few hours, with your eyes filled with wonder! Don't miss their visit to the capital!
