Pub Royal, plays at the Grand Rex from April 12 to 14 for five performances. The musical is inspired by and performs songs by the Quebec group Les Cowboys fringants. So it won't be them you'll see on stage, but the collective Les 7 doigts de la main, featuring 7 actors/singers, 7 dancers and 6 circus artists.
The musical is directed by Sébastien Soldevila, one of the co-founders and co-artistic director of Les 7 doigts de la main. It features a mix of singing, acting, dancing and acrobatics. Les 7 doigts de la main explains their mission as "telling human stories with superhuman virtuosity". Created in 2002 by 7 founders, their aim was to redefine contemporary circus by playing with different artistic disciplines. Today, their productions range from one-man shows to musicals and even Olympic ceremonies. Today, they are based in Montreal and tour the world.
