Mamma Mia! is still on at the Casino de Paris until April 28, 2024 . The musical has been nominated for the Molières 2024 in the musical category.
Years after its formation, ABBA and their legendary songs are still heard around the world. In 1999, the songs led to the first performance of the musical Mamma Mia! in London. Following the musical's worldwide success, Mamma Mia! spawned two highly successful films based on the musical.
The show reached millions of people worldwide. Adapted into 16 languages and with over 50 different productions, the musical has generated over $4 billion in revenues. Back since last fall, the musical at the Casino de Paris is a French production by Stage Entertainment France(The Lion King, The Producers, Chicago...) and Encore Productions.
Mamma Mia! tells the story of Sophie's search for her father. On the eve of her wedding, she decides to face her destiny and invites three people who could be her father, according to her mother's diary. The arrival of the three potential fathers and her mother, who is unaware of their arrival, promises a funny, touching show full of twists and turns. The musical is set in Greece, under the warm sun and beside turquoise-blue waters.
The French show previously toured between 2010 and 2012 at the Théâtre Mogador. The international tour also came to France from 2005 to 2019. This version of the show is a new version since 2023, with new singers and dancers.
