The Parc de la Villette on fire, that's what the Carabosse company is promising us for the Paris l'été Festival. For two days, July 19 and 20, 2019, the world-famous company will be presenting its visual and sound Installation de feu.
It's a crazy idea: walk among flames, forges and other flame-spitting machinery. This magical experience has been touring the world for over 20 years. From St-Christophe-sur-Roc to the Kremlin, from Essakane in the middle of the Malian desert to Tirana and Adelaide in Australia, Compagnie Carabosse has brought thousands of people together around these controlled flames.
As soon as night falls, at 10.30pm, we're all invited to take part in a nocturnal journey that will take us from the great green spaces to the Canal de l'Ourcq. For long minutes, we'll watch the flames ignite one by one, a magical moment for the whole family (if your children know how to follow the safety instructions).
To give you an idea of the show:
By the way, the company needs help to set up and light the thousands of torches from 10 p.m., so if you're a handyman or a bit of a hothead, and available from July 18 to 21, don't hesitate to get in touch. You'll be part of a big, crazy family, and memories will last a lifetime.
Free, open to all, we say yes!
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
