The stage of the Théâtre de Passy, in the heart of the Auteuil district, will be the setting for an investigation worthy of the famous detective fiction known to all, from November 1 to 15, 2023. The play "Sherlock Holmes et l'Affaire du Pont de Thor" (Sherlock Holmes and the Thor Bridge Affair ) will be performed there, promising a moment of intrigue and humor.
Renowned for his detective skills, the character of Sherlock Holmes, played by seasoned actor Bernard Menez, finds himself plunged into the Pont de Thor affair, a mysterious 19th-century murder case. Joining him on this adventure is his faithful sidekick Dr. Watson, magnificently played by Philippe Chevallier.
The duo lead the play against a backdrop of serious investigation and unbridled family comedy. A reinvention of the seriousness usually associated with the figure of Sherlock Holmes, they take on the Pont de Thor case with humor, infusing it with an atmosphere that makes it accessible to the whole family.
The play opens with the mysterious murder of Maria, wife of billionaire Neil Gibson, on their property in northern England. The investigation soon turns on their housekeeper, the lovely Grace Dunbar. With the help of his lifelong companion, Dr. Watson, he sets out to unravel the truth from falsehood in this complex case. And as if the investigation itself weren't enough, misfortune also seems to pursue the actors, creating a deliciously chaotic atmosphere.
