A drama in huis-clos, a quasi-psychological thriller on stage: that's the effect of the play"Le Syndrome de l'Oiseau", performed by the talented Sara Giraudeau for the third year running, after taking over the Théâtre du Rond-Point in 2023. Winner of the 2007 Molière for theatrical revelation and the 2018 César for best supporting actress for"Petit Paysan", the actress returns to the stage to play Eve.
The actress is plunged into a realistic prison, with walls and a closed door, a barred window, held up by the character of Franck. It's an in-camera fantasy tale, but it's inspired by the real-life case of Natascha Kampusch, who was held captive by her kidnapper until 2006.
Sara Giraudeau and Patrick d'Assumçao, who won two acting awards for his role in"L'Inconnu du lac", perfectly embody this free and restrained bird of the world, managing their own follies. Le Syndrome de l'Oiseau is also distinguished by the performance of Renaud Meyer, and its orchestration by the talented Pierre Tré-hardy, who directs. The play's visual universe is created by set designer Jacques Gabel.
The music, a key element of the piece, is provided by Bernard Vallery. Every note is designed to immerse the spectator in the unique atmosphere of "Le Syndrome de L'Oiseau " from January 23 to April 20, 2024 at Théâtre du Petit St-Martin.
