La folle Histoire de France by Nicolas Pierre and Farhat Kerkeny invites you to dive back into your history lessons in a burlesque comedy at Théâtre Edgar, every Sunday at 3:30pm from March 10 to April 12, 2024.

Were you dozing off during yourHistory lessons, or were you the most attentive student? Or perhaps you simply don't remember your history lessons? "La folle Histoire de France" by Nicolas Pierre and Faharat Kerkeny, performed at the Théâtre Edgar in the 14th arrondissement of Paris every Sunday from March 10 to April 12, 2024, should show you that learning can be fun.

Directed by Boustros el Amari, you'll find yourself sitting in the middle of a history class on a Sunday afternoon. For the duration of the show, you'll be plunged back into your adolescence as you take part in a playful, learned comedy.

The audience becomes schoolchildren, and meets Terrence (played by Samuel Debure), their history teacher, and Malik (played by Rémi Goutalier), a pupil who is repeating the 20th year of his 5th year... Terrence does his best to engage Malik's interest, and he's full of antics. But that's not all: the audience also has a role to play. Everyone is invited to take part in the play in the role of their choice: dunce, nancy boy or class rep, the choice is yours!

A must-see for families and friends alike, this interactive comedy is equally suited to older and younger audiences. What's more, you'll come away with a wealth of new historical anecdotes, all based on real events.

Created in 2013 by the Terrence et Malik company, this burlesque show is now in its 8th season across France, with over 800 performances to date. The historical events covered are generally the French Revolution, the Hundred Years' War, the Battle of Marignan and several famous assassinations of French Kings, but the plot of the show is sometimes modulated according to the date of the performance.

"La folle histoire de France" is a great way to have fun on a Sunday afternoon from March 10, 2024 at the Théâtre Edgar in Paris, while learning something new!
