Poiret et Serrault - Extrats, extra takes viewers back into the mythical world of the iconic duo: Jean Poiret and Michel Serrault. Comedy greats of the 20th century, François Berléand and Nicolas Briançon reprise sketches by the duo at the Théâtre du Petit Montparnasse until June 2, 2024 .
The play is directed by Nathalie Serrault, daughter of Michel Serrault, as a tribute to the comedy duo. The two comedians, now deceased, were known for their complicity and the hilarious, outrageous sketches they performed in cabarets during the 1950s and 1960s. Jean Poiret and Michel Serrault met in 1952 at a classical matinee audition at the Théâtre Sarah-Bernhardt. They made a name for themselves with their sketchJerry Scott, vedette internationale, first performed in 1953.
The play features François Berléand and Nicolas Briançon paying tribute to the two comedians by reprising their sketches, which still seem relevant today. Francois Berléand takes on the roles of Michel Serrault and Nicolas Briançon, the roles of Jean Poiret .
Poiret et Serrault - Extrats, extra is a fine tribute to be discovered at the Théâtre du Petit Montparnasse until June 2, 2024.
