Adaptation of oral tradition, Aurélie Mest (composite work)
Synopsis
He's an odd fellow who wanders through life in the wrong direction. Is he wise? Is he mad?
Nasreddine is a man who can say anything because people don't take him seriously. Under the guise of nonsense, he challenges the established order, tyranny and stupidity.
Viens Voir en Face has immersed itself in this treasure trove of Arab heritage, and translated some of the stories into a language at the crossroads between the Arts de la Parole and Contemporary Puppetry. At the heart of its visual writing is the worn mask, a type of body puppet for which the company proposes a singular approach.
A man and a woman invite you to the other side of Nasreddine's mirror, for a journey that's full of nonsense, yet full of common sense. A journey sprinkled with small pleasures, on which a wind of freedom blows...
