Les femmes de Barbe Bleue, now at Théâtre de Belleville, revisits Perrault's famous tale, revealing its darker side and questioning the dynamics of power and domination in our contemporary society. On stage, driven by desire and life, the spectres of Bluebeard 's wives tell their stories: how they were charmed, trapped, unable to escape. Together, with humor and determination, they support each other in discovering spaces of resistance, confronting fear and overcoming this Bluebeard, symbol of the evil rooted in them, nourished by destructive injunctions.

Les Femmes de Barbe Bleue gives a new lease of life to Charles Perrault 's famous tale . Through improvisation, the actresses explore desire and power dynamics, offering a contemporary and committed vision of the classic tale. The collective writing of the play was directed by Lisa Guez.
