The exhibition evolves around three themes. The first one focuses on the historical vision of the Luxembourg through photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries. We discover pictures taken by André Kertész, Eugène Atget and Willy Ronis. They all show – in their own way – the most human vision of Paris most beautiful garden.
The second part focuses on the Jardin Remarquable label, pictures by the contemporary photographer Jean-Baptiste Leroux who is specialized in landscape pictures: his skilled eye selected sixty gardens based on criteria including beauty and attractiveness.
Finally, the third theme focuses on the winners of the photo contest held in 2016 on the WIPPLAY website which invited amateurs to capture the beauty of a heritage dear to their hearts.
This long exhibition, you can visit by walking along the gates of the Luxembourg Gardens, welcomes spring and summer by communicating their love for art. Grab your camera and picture the beauty of sunny days!
