In contemporary art museums, we’ve done almost everything: we saw, we heard, we touched, we’ve been in the dark, we tried virtual reality… But we’ve rarely smelled! This invisible experience and yet formidably enticing is offered this autumn by Cartier which perfumes have been making games of seduction get into a state for decades.
For four days, the forecourt of the Palais de Tokyo will be taken over by a glass house housing a cloud. Come on in, smell: here’s your visit! The idea is to offer visitors to experience a sample of the new perfume L’Envol de Cartier on a large scale. This perfume has been created by perfumer Mathilde Laurent and stabilized by Transsolar (who created an air monitoring system at different level especially for the occasion).
Advertising? Yes, maybe. But the experience provided by this USO – Unidentified Scenting Object promises to be much fun! Moreover, it’s free of charge, which is a great asset for a Cartier perfume, isn’t it?
