What if, this summer, you decide to visit the United-States without leaving Paris? To breath the American air, you only have to pop in 121 rue de Lille in Paris 7th arrondissement since the Fondation Custodia promises a beautiful trip…
Let me explain: through 100 prints created by 42 American artists, the Fondation (we love for its clean exhibitions) explores – for its summer exhibit – the increase of prints in the United-states from 1960 to nowadays.
Thanks to the collaboration of the British Museum and the Terra Foundation for American Art, the Fondation Custodia has accessed to the very beautiful collection of American art. That way, the selection of the exhibition “American Dream: Pop to the Present” is a success so much because of its diversity than its richness: we meet the famous Jasper Johns, Ed Ruscha and Andy Warhol, we (re)discover Kara Walker and Jim Dine… In other words, it’s a shot of Pop Art!
An exhibition you don’t want to miss this artistic summer in Paris!
Save the dates! PS: don’t forget to take a walk along the Seine, neighbor of the foundation.
