“Ker-Xavier Roussel. Private Garden, Dreamed Garden” exhibition at the Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny

The Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny organizes from July 27 to November 11, 2019 a monographic exhibition about Ker-Xavier Roussel. Painter from the late 19^th century to the mid-20^th century, the “bucolic Nabis” is displayed to the 10^th anniversary of the museum in an exhibition called “Ker-Xavier Roussel. Private Garden, Dreamed Garden”.

It’s the first major retrospective returning on Ker-Xavier Roussel’s work since the one organized in 1968 at the Musée de l’Orangerie at the Tuileries garden. An exhibition you don’t want to miss in order to discover some exclusive paintings of the artist who remained in the shadow.

All in all, about a hundred works of art will be displayed at the Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny in a tour including 5 sections, from his Nabis debuts in the 1890’s to his mythologic works at the turning point of the new century.
