The Musée en Herbe takes us on a journey to meet the little creatures that share our daily lives. The exhibition Spiders, Fireflies and Butterflies, on view from April 2, 2020 June 13, 2020 to January 3, 2021, combines art and science. Paintings by Salvador Dali and Nikki de Saint-Phalle sit side by side with vivariums and entomological plates, creating a rich and varied journey that appeals to the whole family.
This fun, interactive exhibition includes a treasure hunt for children. Don't forget to bring your pencil!
Put on your boots, grab your binoculars and your explorer's notebook, and let's go on an adventure! Battle spiders and their webs, marvel at the fireflies and butterflies that populate this exhibition. The Musée en Herbe has assembled works by some 15 contemporary artists, including street artist Ludo, sculptor Louise Bourgeois, painters Salvador Dali, Nikki de Saint-Phalle and Philippe Pasqua.
To complement the artistic aspect of the exhibition, the Musée en Herbe has teamed up with Paris' National Museum of Natural History. Science takes over the exhibition in the form of vivariums, plates and entomological collections (the part of zoology that deals with insects).
Free yourself from spider webs, let yourself be charmed by fireflies and explore the living room of an"explorer-collector". Go on a hunt for an extraordinary animal, then end your visit with a fantastic cabinet of curiosities! A great program for a wonderful experience with family and friends. And to prepare for this adventure, don't hesitate to watch the Jumanji films and take notes! So, are you ready for a new journey, on the trail of spiders, fireflies and butterflies?
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
