Tour Montparnasse Top of The City invites photo enthusiasts to discover its brand new exhibition, New Beginnings, from July 3, 2020. A retrospective that looks back on the period of confinement and the "new beginning" offered after the crisis.

To mark its grand re-opening, the Tour Montparnasse Top of The City is dedicating a photo exhibition to this moment of confinement and the reflection that ensued. Entitled New Beginnings, the exhibition will be held from July 3, 2020 on the tower's observatory, offering a breathtaking view of the whole of Paris. It's also an opportunity for the Tour Montparnasse to support Care International and Secours Populaire by donating profits from the sale of photos and merchandise from the exhibition.

Through the testimonies of six photographers from Paris, Berlin, Rotterdam, Philadelphia and Chicago, the exhibition highlights"the unprecedented and striking character of this suspended time" and the"post-confinement awakening" that followed in five cities around the world (listed above). As far as our beautiful capital is concerned, visitors are invited to discover various astonishing images of Paris emptied of its population: boulevards and avenues, empty squares, closed cafés, open windows and applause every evening... We see the confinement from a different angle, then life returns with the return of cyclists to the streets, children playing together again, strollers wearing masks...

This return to life is also reflected, particularly in Philadelphia and Chicago, in the demonstrations that took place across the United States following the death of George Floyd. Photos of these rallies are also presented for the occasion. It should be noted that all these images are accessible via the website of the Magnicity group, the leading brand in high-altitude urban tourism, of which theParis Montparnasse observatory is a part, and that a selection will also be available for sale. An opportunity to do a good deed...

The exhibition is divided into two parts, with a passage to the panoramic rooftop of the Tour Montparnasse, so you can enjoy the superb terrace before discovering the second part.
