Take advantage of the weekend of October 7 and 8, 2023 to visit the workshops of Belleville artisans! The Journées de l'Artisanat are an opportunity to discover excellent skills and unsuspected places and trades in the heart of eastern Paris.
During the open house, some 50 artisans will be demonstrating their skills in workshops, exhibitions and round-table discussions. It's an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing craft and small-scale industry in our neighborhoods. You'll be able to meet passionate craftspeople and talk to them about their trades, whether they're jewelers, dressmakers, cabinetmakers or upholsterers - enough to inspire vocations!
Between tradition and innovation, Belleville's artisans have come together to highlight the importance of preserving machines and tools, and of local production, in order to perpetuate Paris's wealth of craftsmanship and artistry. An itinerary is proposed, between alleyways and small courtyards, in some thirty locations in Belleville .During this exceptional weekend, a round table will address the theme of training, while the"Sublime objet"exhibition will question the boundaries between art and craft, and another will highlight the professions of luthier, ceramist and jeweler.
