French film legendAlain Delon reveals his other passion to the world: art. After more than 60 years of collecting exceptional pieces, the actor is preparing to exhibit his collection of 81 masterpieces by the greatest names in Art History, ranging from the Italian Renaissance to the great French masters of the 19th century. Estimated at between 4 and 5 million euros, Alain Delon's collection will be presented in a touring exhibition organized by Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in the United States, Asia and Europe in May and June 2023.
In Paris, halfway between the Arc de Triomphe and Parc Monceau, Maison Cornette de Saint Cyr will be highlighting the actor's collection at a free exhibition from Saturday June 17 to Thursday June 22, 2023. For one week, Alain Delon opens his secret and inspiring garden to you, made up of marvellous works of art, faithful companions that have brought him immense joy and sometimes even comfort.
Between an oil on canvas by Corot or another byEugène Delacroix, drawings by Jean-François Millet or a painting by Raoul Dufy, his instinctive eye has always unerringly guided him towards masterpieces, from his first old drawings to the great Modern Masters.
Like a true collector, the actor offers you a plunge into the world of art, inviting you to come and admire these precious creations, and to look at them with as much love as they have been for the past sixty years!
And for those who would like to acquire a work from Alain Delon's collection, the auction will take place at Maison Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris, on Thursday June 22, 2023.
