Anja Kornerup-Bang, who will lead the workshop, works on ceramics in conjunction with her painting. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Anja Kornerup-Bang teaches at the Ateliers du Carrousel, the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris and the EMA (École Municipale des Arts) in Sartrouville. She also works for the MAD as an artist and lecturer.
She will introduce participants to ceramic sculpture in free 40-minute workshops, focusing on the work of Nour Fog, currently in solo show at the Maison du Danemark gallery. Nour Fog 's universe focuses on the beauty and fragility of human beings, from the moment they are born. Through his sculptures, he expresses how "life can be harsh, unpredictable and beautiful".
"Working on a notion I call caring forms, I strive to create a rounder, gentler world that gives more space to what is vulnerable, sincere and free." Nour Fog
