A plunge into the depths of love and mortality... Galerie La Lison invites you to discover its latest exhibition of works by the duo Carlos Olmo and Quibe, entitled Eros & Thanatos, from June 22 to July 8, 2023. Opening on June 22, from 7pm.
The exhibition presents an original collaboration between two renowned artists, Carlos Olmo and Quibe. Carlos Olmo 's work captures the essence of the human interior, notably through representations of the skeleton with raw, vibrant lines, using paint and spray can techniques typical of street art.
In contrast, Quibe takes a minimalist approach, weaving essential, effective lines that highlight the simplicity of the stroke and the precision of the artistic gesture. Together, they form an electrifying duo, fusing the poetic and the wild to explore the themes of love and death.
Through inks, paintings, silkscreens and reproductions, the Eros & Thanatos exhibition is a celebration of human life, featuring kisses and skeletons in a delicate yet bold mix. The works on display are poignant and full of meaning, reflecting intense emotions and reflections on the eternal themes of love and death.
