Galerie La Lison invites you to discover artist Ono and his exhibition, Organessence, from August 31 to October 14, 2023. For those wishing to familiarize themselves withOno's work, his creations immerse the viewer in a profound reflection on our relationship to humanity and to our own bodies.
Drawing inspiration from 17th-century vanitas, Ono recalls the fleeting nature of human life, with evocative representations such as skulls, clocks, wilted flowers and candles, symbolizing the passing of time and our ephemeral existence. At the same time, she borrows from the aesthetics of 19th-century Romanticism, emphasizing the expression of emotions and individuality. The multi-disciplinary artist has perfect mastery of the materials with which she works, namely wood and porcelain.
