The Musée des Arts Décoratifs is showcasing its fashion and design collections, with a groundbreaking exhibition running from April 3 to November 10, 2024. Discover Parcours mode, design, bijoux, an exhibition highlighting masterpieces of craftsmanship, couture and ready-to-wear, dating from the 20th century to the present day.
The exhibition brings together over thirty couture and ready-to-wear pieces , and some fifty jewels, accessories and jewelry creations. These works are installed in the museum's rooms devoted to contemporary design: the pieces on display thus enter into a dialogue with the art venue's permanent collections, and the two ensembles allow us to admire and appreciate all the expertise of the designers.
And what designers they are! To name but a few, this exhibition includes pieces by Christian Dior, Balmain, Paco Rabanne, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Helmut Lang, Schiaparelli, Van Cleef et Arpels... Enough to make any fashion lover's head spin.
This artistic journey highlights works from the museum's collections, underscores the links between designers, highlights similarities between pieces, styles or lines, and allows us to rediscover exceptional works. A fascinating exhibition for lovers of design and fashion, to be visited this spring 2024.
