You've loved Jo Di Bona at the various Colors Festivals and you'd like to see more of his work? From March 2 to April 6, 2024, with an opening on Friday March 1 at 7pm, discover the works of this urban artist in a 100 square meter space at the Galerie Lamazière in Cormeilles-en-Parisis.
Jo Di Bona is a leading figure in the Paris urban art scene. He quickly rose to fame thanks to his invention, Pop Graffiti. This technique fuses collage, various graffiti influences and a deep immersion in popular culture. You can currently see one of his works at the Colors Festival in Champigny.
Awarded the 1st EDF Foundation Graffiti Prize in 2014, he has since multiplied his international exhibitions, artistic performances and murals, notably at the Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration, Loures Arte Publica in Lisbon and the French Consulate in Atlanta.
Like a modern-day Fauvist, he combines color and dynamism to bring to life faces charged with poetry, emotion and a vibrant joie de vivre. Jo Di Bona also pays tribute, with equal gentleness, to icons, major historical figures and anonymous crusaders. Her work is inspired by her benevolent vision of humanity, underlining that "the most important thing is to share".
In short, if you'd like to meet him, find out more, or see more of his work, head for Cormeilles-en-Parisis!
