Considered by many to be the master of Japanese neo-pop art, Takeru Amano announces his return to Paris this spring with a new solo exhibition entitled " IMA " , which means"now/the moment" in Japanese. Not to be missed at Galerie Sato from April 20 to May 12, 2024, this new installation is an opportunity to discover the colorful universe of this enigmatic artist and all his artistic diversity.
Galerie Sato, recently inaugurated in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, will be exhibiting a number of Venus portraits, the famous icons that have become the Tokyo-born artist's signature. Visitors will also be able to admire still lifes by the Japanese painter and sculptor, as well as landscapes reinterpreted in Takeru Amano's distinctive artistic style. Among works not to be missed, Galerie Sato also cites a Venus sculpture made entirely of wood.
From acrylic on canvas to sculptures in wood and bronze, Takeru Amano fuses a variety of artistic techniques, which Galerie Sato invites you to discover free of charge this spring in Paris. Note that the gallery has set up a dedicated platform accessible here to book a viewing slot.
A renowned artist, Takeru Amano is the son of Yoshitaka Amano, known for the Final Fantasy video game universe. Steeped in the world of art from an early age, Takeru Amano has developed his own style over the years, inspired directly by the late 20th-century Japanese culture in which he grew up. Takeru Amano 's artistic style is characterized by the juxtaposition of classical, philosophical and mythical subjects with elements of pop art, such as"kawaii". Proof of his renown, his works have already been exhibited in Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and London.
From April 20 to May 12, 2024, Takeru Amano returns to Paris with his"IMA" installation, which promises to take us by surprise!
