Ninety years already! The Musée Marmottan-Monet celebrates the ninth decade of its existence with a weekend of events for adults and children on Friday June 21, Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23.
For the record, Paul Marmottan transformed the pavilion purchased by his father, Jean Marmottan, into a private mansion, and spent a large part of his life collecting numerous works and paintings. On his death, Paul bequeathed his entire collection and the mansion to theAcadémie des Beaux-Arts de Paris. In 1934, the Musée Marmottan-Monet was born, and it is here that the world's largest collection of Claude Monet paintings is housed.
So, to celebrate the museum's 90th anniversary, a great program awaits you! Children will love the imaginary tours, games and activities, while adults will enjoy the concerts. Exceptionally, the museum gardens will be open and accessible to the public during this festive weekend, with an ephemeral café specially set up inside.
On the program:
Fête de la musique
Immersive concert with Gilb'R.
Imaginary visits
Relive the highlights of the museum's history through an Imaginary Visit led by actress Pauline Caupenne, combining history and poetry.
Jazz quartet
The Daniel Barda Quartet will bring the museum to life with their jazz renditions of classics, echoing the era of the museum's opening.
Games and activities for families
Coloring, puzzles, memory, books to share... A fun way to discover the museum's collections.

Exceptionally, the museum garden is open to visitors for a gourmet break, with lemonade, ice cream, coffee and tea.
