Some people look to the stars to distract themselves from the problems on Earth. Maif Social Club artists, on the other hand, choose to draw inspiration from the stars, to find solutions and imagine sustainable futures for our planet. From February 8 to July 26, 2025, come and discover the free exhibition Chaosmos at Maif Social Club.
For this exhibition, 12 contemporary artists from the four corners of the globe tell the story of their Earth. Faced with an endangered planet, disappearing animals and crumbling ecosystems, these creators speak out in their own way, weaving a new bond between humanity and its habitat.
Paintings, sculptures, installations, woven works: through their works, the artists seek to redefine our place in the cosmos, on a very large or very small scale. Far from being pessimistic, this exhibition aims to demonstrate the importance of preserving our planet, and to show us more beautiful futures, in a fragile natural world whose strength and importance we have rediscovered.
Through the beauty of the cosmos and its massive, shiny objects, contemporary designers aim to give visitors back that sense of wonder at nature that has touched humankind since its earliest days. This is how links are forged between people, across borders and over the years. All are united in the face of a world that is chaotic, but full of life.
The works exhibited at the Maif Social Club are intended to inspire and motivate, to build a more harmonious future, more respectful of all.
