A few splashes of color, delicate strokes and a healthy dose of poetry and emotion: Edi Dubien seduces young and old with his unique style. The French artist unveils his work at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, from December 10, 2024 to May 4, 2025, with the exhibition S'éclairer sans fin.
For this unprecedented retrospective, over 200 drawings and paintings, and 16 installations and sculptures are brought together in the museum's temporary spaces and permanent collections. These works, most of which are presented to the public for the first time on this occasion, offer a comprehensive overview of Edi Dubien's art and career.
The Frenchman from Hauts-de-Seine taught himself to draw and paint. Over the years, he has perfected this delicate style, in which humans and animals share a moment of communion and peace. With touches of color, the artist directs our gaze and highlights the beauty of these beings. Edi Dubien explores different themes with great poetry and modesty.
Thus, in her works, we often find the figure of thechild, symbol of innocence, sometimes a victim of human violence and chaos - just like nature, which continues to be reborn and evolve despite the difficulties. Strength and fragility cohabit in the same being, in the same flower under Edi Dubien's brush.
The Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature offers a tour of all its exhibition spaces, creating a dialogue between the artist's drawn animals and the naturalized animals in the museum's permanent collections.
It's a moment of softness and beauty that the museum offers us with this new exhibition. Discover it now!
