Let's get to work! The exhibition that questions modern management at Citéco

The Cité de l'Économie is interested in how the world of work has evolved, and more specifically how management has shaped modern work. With the exhibition Allez hop, au travail, Citéco explores the history and challenges of management. The exhibition runs from January 10 to June 1, 2025.

Management is a social science used to organize, coordinate and control a company's resources. Practices have evolved over time, reflecting the social and technical changes that have taken place in France.

Modern management involves economic issues, philosophical and moral questions, and anthropological needs. How can all these elements be reconciled, and what objectives can be achieved with this discipline?

Citéco 's exhibition explores the place and influence of management in the modern professional world, and in our societies too. Corporate life has strong links with the values and rules in place in a country. The exhibition highlights the drifts and challenges of management, while giving pride of place to the forgotten pioneers of this social discipline.

For many of us, an exhibition about work and management might not sound very exciting...
