In 2023, Paris and the Île-de-France region are once again set to host a host of eclectic art events and major exhibitions. Exhibitions devoted to Harry Potter, Ramses, Basquiat and Warhol are just some of the highlights of the coming months. For fans ofmonumental works of art, there will also be plenty to do, with the installation of several XXL works that are likely to arouse the curiosity of many.
In Paris, the arrival of Charon's Wheel is sure to be the talk of the town. Created by American artist Peter Hudson for the Burning Man festival, this work will arrive in Paris in July 2023, for just a few days, as part of the Paris l'été festival.
Another place, another artist. In Vincennes, many are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the spectacular installation imagined by the internationally renowned artist : Joana Vasconcelos. Initially announced for September 2022, this extraordinary work will finally be unveiled in spring 2023.
On the other side of the Île-de-France, the Hauts-de-Seine département will welcome two new monumental works: one by Japanese artist Kohei Nawa on the Ile Seguin, and the other by sculptor Jacques Zwobada in Nanterre.
But the start of the year will be marked first and foremost by the XXL installation by Indian artist Subodh Gupta, to be discovered free of charge at the Bon Marché Rive Gauche.
The gigantic Yayoi Kusama in front of the Louis Vuitton headquarters, opposite the Samaritaine.
An immense sculpture in the likeness of Yayoi Kusama has been erected on rue du Pont Neuf, between the headquarters of Maison Louis Vuitton and La Samaritaine.
