In the Yvelines department, this is one of the most beautiful châteaux in the département: with its bucolic charm, this almost-secret château is famous for having inspired the writer Charles Perrault to write his famous fairy tales. From Bluebeard and Puss in Boots to Petit Poucet, everything here is reminiscent of Perrault's work, with storytelling tours and life-size wax figures present during your visit to the château.
The château also regularly organizes festive days to give visitors an immersive experience in this unique French setting, as here with artistic fencing shows featuring cloak-and-dagger combat. Presented by the Les Lames sur Seine association, the show recounts the practice of fencing from Antiquity to the 19th century, with fencers dressed up as noble ladies or musketeers.
