Le bal des Pyramides, immersion in a historic ball at the Château de Grosbois (94)

In addition to offering the famous Bal des Deux Empires at the Hôtel Intercontinental every April, the Carnet de Bals association invites you to its grand Spring Ball, on Saturday June 29, 2024, at the Château de Grosbois.

For over 30 years, the Carnet de Bals association has been reviving the great Parisian balls by offering dance classes in waltz, polka and more. Designed to train dancers to perform at major balls, such as the annual Bal de Printemps organized by the association. Combining historical re-enactment in period costume and four-beat waltzing, these balls offer visitors a truly immersive spectacle for just a few steps!

So, on June 29, 2024, the Château de Grosbois in Marolles-en-Brie, in the Val-de-Marne département of France, invites you to immerse yourself in the Egypt of the Pharaohs, where the traditions of Western high society and the customs of ancient Egypt meet. On the program? Dance demonstrations, entertainment, a meal and free dances, so that beginners and experts alike can dance the night away.

The program in detail:

• A musical selection, combining traditional and historical rhythms for an immersive experience
• Surprise entertainment

To take part in this grand period ball, however, the entry ticket comes at a price: expect to pay between €85 and €200. Your entry ticket includes access to the ball, parking, a changing area with checkroom, the meal (including champagne at discretion) and all entertainment. Please note: to ensure total immersion for all, a dress code is imposed and explained: for the ladies, we'll be opting for elaborate hairstyles adorned with flowers and pearls, and huge dresses, while for the gentlemen, we'll be opting for traditional Second Empire outfits.
