Fêtes Galantes 2024, a sumptuous costumed evening at the Château de Versailles

Do you dream of life in a château? Do your eyes sparkle when you hear about the great extravagant feasts held at the Château de Versailles? Your dreams are about to come true: the Fêtes Galantes are back for another edition, at the château of the Sun King. On Monday, May 22, 2023, put on your costume of light, and come and dance on the Galerie des Glaces parquet floor, during a grand costumed evening, as in the time of Louis XIV.

The chateau's most beautiful rooms will open their doors to you, for this exceptional evening of entertainment, just like in those days. Lovers of the place, straight out of the Grand Siècle, will guide you to discover or rediscover the private apartments of the King, Madame du Barry and de Pompadour. The evening concludes with a fireworks display in the Galerie des Glaces after the grand closing ball.

This seventh edition of the Fêtes Galantes promises to be exceptional! Three activities are on offer during the evening: depending on your ticket, you may have to choose which ones you'd like to take part in. Dance classes are organized with dancing masters. Two concerts are also scheduled, in the Salle des Gardes du Roi, and in the Chapelle Royale.

You're free to visit the castle's open spaces, and take part in the activities whenever you like. From 11 p.m., head to the Galerie des Glaces for the Baroque Ball, which culminates in a spectacular fireworks display!

Several tickets, at different prices, give you access to this exceptional evening:

• The Marquis et Marquises ticket, which includes a choice of two activities and a glass of champagne
• The Ducs and Duchesses ticket, which includes a private tour of a private apartment, two of the three activities, plus unlimited access to the reserved buffet
• The Kings and Queens ticket, which entitles you to an exclusive welcome from 6:30 pm,a dramatized tour of the Royal Opera House, a choice of 2 activities, a guided tour of a private apartment and unlimited access to the dedicated buffet with tables and seating.
• The Doges ticket, which also offers a personalized welcome from 6:30 p.m. and includes a tour of the Opera, a concert in the Galerie Basse and a concert in the Chapelle Royale , plus a surprise: an exceptional moment reserved for you, with access to your own buffet.
