Want to get some fresh air while staying in the Paris region? Well, here's an idea for agetaway that should please wine lovers and those curious to discover the world of oenology. Head for the Yvelines, to Domaine de La Bouche du Roi, not far from Versailles, to immerse yourself in the world of viticulture.
On a regular basis, this vineyard offers us several promising experiences in the middle of vineyard plots in the Plaine de Versailles. Three formats generally await us: a visit to the estate with a tasting starting at 29€, a visit with food and wine pairing starting at 49€, and a more complete experience entitled Les Travaux de la Vigne.
The program includes a half-day in the winemaker's shoes:first, you'll learn how to work the vines and enjoy an introduction to the main principles of organic viticulture. Then it's time for a wine tasting of 3 unique cuvées from the estate. Finally, enjoy a tailor's lunch in the company of the team. The experience, limited to 14 people per half-day, starts at €99 per person. Stay tuned for future dates.
It's also an opportunity to discover thehistory of this estate, located on the former hunting grounds of the kings of France. For several years now, Adrien Pélissié, Julien Bengué and Julien Brustis have been on a mission to bring this Ile-de-France terroir back to life, creating a remarkable wine with eco-responsible practices and organic farming. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for other experiences to come from Domaine de la Bouche du Roi.
