For the past few months, Arches Citoyennes has been occupying the former headquarters ofAssistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, in the center of the capital, with an exceptional solidarity and cultural program. Until mid-2024, this temporaryspace will host artists, craftspeople, associations and social economy structures, as well as Parisians, with a wide range of events open to all. Spearheaded by the Plateau Urbain cooperative, the project aims to bring this space to life while it awaits renovation as a living space for precarious people.
Over a surface area of almost 30,000 m2, a café and a number of solidarity stores are helping to develop a social and solidarity-based economy on a daily basis. After opening to the public this summer, with its creative market, bicycle parade, plant festival, dress sale and Latin American festival, a new program has been launched for autumn-winter 2023-2024.
Every month, find out what's on and enjoy, before the building is renovated from 2024 to 2027 to house social housing for families, carers and young workers, as well as a Maison des Femmes. But also stores, a market, a gym, a health center, a solidarity restaurant, boutique workshops and a neighborhood café, in a constant desire tohelp our fellow man.
