This evening promises to be much more than just a ride; Dassault Systèmes has intended it as a celebration of inclusive mobility and technological innovation at the service of all! Mobility Night Ride will highlight the extraordinary work of Kazuhiko Kanno, parathlete and Dassault Systèmes employee, who will attempt to set a new paracycling world record on Thursday, October 3, 2024, after collaborating with the company's engineers to optimize his performance, thanks to virtual twin technology!
Kazuhiko Kanno is a Japanese athlete whose career took an unexpected turn at the age of 22, when a cervical vertebra injury sustained during a surfing session led him to explore new sporting possibilities. Recognized for his talent, Dassault Systèmes recruited Kanno in 2017 through the "Asnavi" program, facilitating career transitions for elite athletes. Beyond sport, Kanno actively collaborates with the National Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled in Japan, improving accessibility and advancing wheelchair technology.
To celebrate mobility and the future world record (fingers crossed!), Dassault Systèmes contacted Pari Roller, the association specializing in rando rollers, to create an 11km course open to all Parisians, with no registration required! The idea? To showcase all the light and inclusive forms of mobility that enable people to surpass themselves: bikes, rollerblades, skates, scooters and gyrorouws are all welcome, for this anthological moment from Montparnasse to Bastille!
As for the atmosphere, we can count on Taïg Khris, who will host the ride, and the event's godfather, cycling champion Laurent Jalabert, who will lead the procession. Kanno's performance will be broadcast live on a giant screen at the Place de la Bastille, allowing all participants to experience this historic moment!
At the finish, a draw will reward participants with prizes, including 3 Ellipses electric bikes and rollerblades!
This Friday, October 4, 2024, take to the road alone, with your tribe or with your family and beat your record alongside Kazuhiko Kanno, Laurent Jalabert and TaÏg Khris!
Note on virtual twin technology:
Dassault Systèmes offers an innovation platform that enables the design of virtual twins to improve the quality of life of all humans through technology. In concrete terms, virtual twins are "conformal 3D models of a physical object, process, organization, person or other unique abstraction" in a virtual universe that enable the product's behavior to be designed, explored and simulated when subjected to a series of predefined events, or to be improved.
